The Venue
Prepare for a truly memorable day at Fingask Castle, a magnificent 12th-century country house nestled in Perth and Kinross. Perched approximately 60 metres above the surrounding landscape, the castle enjoys breathtaking views across the Carse of Gowrie towards the Firth of Tay.
For over 400 years, Fingask Castle has been the ancestral home of the Threipland family, offering a fascinating glimpse into centuries of Scottish history and medieval heritage. The estate is renowned for its beautifully landscaped grounds and distinctive topiary, creating a unique and enchanting setting that blends history, nature, and timeless Scottish character.

How to Get There
- Road Trip: Ready to drive through the Perthshire hills? Fingask Castle is a hop and a skip off the A90. Pop PH2 7SA into your satnav and keep your eyes peeled for the estate signs once you leave the main road. Be aware of some sharp and steep corners, so please go steady.
- Catch the Rails: If you’re travelling by train, head to Perth train station. From there, grab a taxi for a quick 25-minute drive to Fingask Castle, or hop on the 51 bus if you’re feeling adventurous (about an hour). From the bus station, it is only a 10 min walk to the Castle grounds.
- Catch the Plane: Landing in Edinburgh or Glasgow? Easy peasy. Grab a Taxi or take the bus from the airport to the train station; from there, take the train up to Perth. We’d suggest booking a taxi in advance or renting a car for the final scenic stretch to the castle, which is just a 20-minute drive.
Edinburgh and Glasgow are an hour drive away from Fingask Castle.
- Flying from London: From London Heathrow Airport, Loganair flies straight into Dundee Airport in under two hours. Once you touch down, it's just a 20-minute drive to Fingask Castle. You can either rent a car via Arnold Clark or Enterprise (pre-booking is required) or grab a taxi.
- Taking the Ferry: From IJmuiden (near Amsterdam) to Newcastle with DFDS. This is an overnight ferry.
From there, it's only a 3-hour drive to the venue. Taking this option, you will avoid the busy motorways around England and the very long drive.
